    TCR-2000 EMBEDDED MEMORY CARD RECORDER

Q: Can TCR-2000 be compatible with my phone?

A: Yes, it can.  TCR-2000 is literally compatible with all types of phone as it supports direct connection with 2-wire analog phone line (trunk and extension) and the coil cord of telephone handset.

Q: How do I wire TCR-2000 to my phone?

A: TCR-2000 can connect to your telephone/line in one of two ways. You must choose the type of connection according to the type of the telephone you have.  If your phone is 2-wire analog phone, unplug telephone extension cord from the phone and change to plug onto the socket marked “LINE” on the rear side of TCR-2000 first.  Then, use the long factory-supplied line cord to connect the phone to the socket marked “PHONE” on the rear side of TCR-2000.


If your phone digital PBX / IP phone, unplug handset coil cord from your phone set body and change to plug to
the socket marked " " on the left side of TCR-2000 first.  Then, plug one end of the short factory-supplied cord
(handset cord) to your phone set body and the other end of the cord to the socket marked " ", which is located
next to the " " socket.



Q: How do I record face-to-face conversations or meeting room voices?

A: Press the REC button when you want to start recording.  Press the STOP button when you want to stop recording.  TCR-2000 includes a condensed microphone that can pick up the voices around your office desk or from the meeting room of hosting 2-8 persons.

Q: How do I record the calls only I want?

A: Press the ASSIGN IMPORTANCE button at any time before end of the call.  You will be reminded of this action with a beep tone and a blinking star symbol on LCD screen whenever you started the call.  Note, the setup menu “D9.Important Only” would have been configured to ON in advance.

Q: How do I record only a portion of the call?

A: Press the START PHONE REC button whenever you want to trigger recording and press the STOP button whenever you want to terminate recording. Note, the setup menu “D4.Trigger” would have been configured to MANUAL in advance.

Q: How do I protect the content of my recordings from exposing to unauthorized persons?

A: You receive the first layer of protection once you have configured the system setup menu “D1.Password” to ON.  You receive the second layer of protection if you have further configured the system setup menu “D.14 Encrypt AES” to ON.

Q: How do I know my recordings are genuine without having been modified?

A: TCR-2000 automatically generates MD5 128 bit checksum when it completes a call recording. This MD5 checksum is the digital fingerprint of your recordings, thru which you get the access to verify if your call recordings were modified or not.

Q: How do I find my interested recordings quickly and conveniently?

A: If you are the user that has, say 10 or 20 calls per day, and you want to find the recordings of this week or this month, you are recommended to press PLAY button to launch sound reproduction first.  Then, use PREVIOUS button and/or FAST BACKWARD button to find the recordings of your interest. If you are the user that has, say 30 or 50 calls per day and you want to find the recording of several months ago, you are recommended to make use of the multiple search option (B.Search Record menu).

Q: How do I use Bookmark Play?

A: Press JUMP TO BOOKMARK button, you jump to the saved position replaying the essential audio immediately.  You would have bookmarked the recording in advance. Bookmarking is to save a position to the recording indicating that the audio starting from this position is essential.

Q: How do I assign a call to “Importance”?

A: Press STAR button, you assign the ongoing call recording for importance.  You can also assign the current recorded audio to importance when you are with sound reproduction.

Q: How do I search for the recordings flagged “Importance”?

A: Go to the menu B4 to enable the selection for this flag and then launch the search action.

Q: How do I quickly and effortlessly unify the system setup of TCR-2000 in quantity?

A: Pick one unit and run the system setup in usual manner.  Once you finished the setting, go to the menu “D13.Save Setup” exporting the system setting to the memory card.  You will get this job done by using this memory card and applying the menu “D14.Load Setup” from the remaining units.

Q: Is it possible to upgrade the system software in my office with very little effort?

A: Yes, it is.  In practice, you may receive the software upgrade thru email or any other means of electronic transportation and then utilize the menu “B7.Upgrade Version”.
